Hackney Carriage Fares (maximum chargeable) are set by the District Council under a provision made in Local Government Misc. Provision Act 1976. The Council have been requested by the taxi trade to review these maximum fares.

Reasons for recommendations
|
Hackney Carriage Fares have not been reviewed by the authority for a number of years. Members of the taxi trade have requested a review, due to the increasing cost of providing this service.
