Recommendations from Cabinet 07 September 2026

The following recommendations were made by Cabinet to Full Council at the meeting held on 7th September 2026:

 

1.     Cabinet Agenda item 9 – Budget Monitoring P4 2026/2027

 

Recommendations

 

 

a)       Note the contents of the report and the current forecast year end position.

 

b)       Seek approval of Full Council to include a new 2026/27 capital budget for Building Control Software of £60,500. This is following the award of a £60,500 capital grant to the Council to fund Building Control capital schemes from MHCLG

 

c)        Seek approval to transfer £2.0m from the General Reserve to the New Burdens Reserve.

 

 

 

The Overview & Scrutiny Committee considered this item at the meeting held on 16th September. As this was after publication of the Full Council agenda, the Chair of the Committee will provide a verbal update to Council.

 

2.     Cabinet Agenda item 10: Treasury Management Q1 2026/2027

 

Recommendations

 

That the Treasury Q1 Report 2026/27 is approved.
