Cllr Lucy Shires

Elected to the Council in May 2019, Lucy now serves as the local representative for North Walsham West, having previously represented the parishes of Happisburgh, Lessingham, East Ruston, Ingham, Honing, and Brumstead. In her current role, she holds the position of Mental Health Champion for the Council and has been a member of the Cabinet since 2020.

In addition to her duties on the Council, Lucy also serves the community in various capacities. She is a County Councillor, Town Councillor, and Governor for North Walsham High School. Lucy remains steadfast in her belief that listening to and collaborating with local residents is fundamental to securing the best outcomes for the community.

Lucy has been a resident of North Norfolk since 2011, initially residing in Happisburgh before moving to North Walsham. Alongside her teenage son, she continues to call this vibrant region her home, committed to serving its residents and pursuing her passion for community engagement.
